Kewin Descombes is one of the most precocious talents in Beaujolais. Son of the great Georges Descombes, he has Gamay running through his veins.

The Gamay for this top cuvée is from the oldest and steepest granite-soil vineyards that Kewin works with in Morgon. Farmed organically and harvested by hand, fermented naturally and bottled with no added sulphites. The wine is then aged for six months in old French oak barrels.

This is a beautiful, imposing wine in its youth and will aged for many years to come, perhaps 20+ years. The 2015 vintage was a stupendous one in Beaujolais and Kewin has done it justice with this intensely aromatic, darkly fruited, earthy, mineral and incredibly complex Morgon that shall enthral and delight in equal measure.
