Hobby is a passion project for two renowned Portuguese winemakers, Diogo Campilho and Pedro Pinhão, who after working around the New World decided to return home to start their own winery. They source grapes from sustainably farmed vineyards in Alentejo, whose hot continental climate has some maritime influence from the Atlantic.
For their Hobby Tinto, grapes are hand-picked and the varieties are vinified separately. A total of 11 months in French oak barrels delivering a complex aroma of ripe black fruits, spices and vanilla. On the palate there's good volume, elegant tannins and a long finish.
