American grad Jennifer took a trip to France fifteen years ago, met a boy, and very much stayed. That boy's family farmed vines, and after a bit of viticultural globetrotting, Jennifer and Didier settled down in his home town of Douzens, surrounded by the Corbières hills. Among the loveliest people on the planet, their nine small plots of organic vineyards include the oldest vineyard in the village, planted in the latter years of the 19th century. Cocolico is a curious blend of Grenache, Syrah and obscure Chenançon (itself a crossing of Jurançon Noir & Grenache).
It's the fruitier of their reds, deep ruby color with violet highlights. Super smooth, and delightful raspberry aroma. Just 5,000 bottles produced each year, and Jennifer & Didier refuse to release their wines before they believe they're ready, so all the beneficial ageing has been done for you and it is very much ready to go.

Corbières | Languedoc-Roussillon | FRANCE
