Domaine des Gandines Crémant de Bourgogne NV
Domaine des Gandines is in the middle of the Mâconnais, created around an exceptional vineyard by Joseph Dananchet in 1925. Fifty-four years later, his grandson Robert began farming organically and increased his holdings from 1.5 hectares to eight.
Grapes are hand-harvested and gently pressed, with only the free-run juice being used. It goes through the traditional method of fermentation, with a second fermentation in bottle.
It's a really pleasant crémant, elegant bubbles enveloping fresh citrus aromas and a lovely creamy lees character. It's refreshing, vibrant yet soft on the palate, with flavours of apples, citrus and baking spices. An apéritif par excellence!
