Sebi Mancebo's Marsilea Verdejo is a classy, sprightly, aromatic thirst-quencher from high-altitude vineyards using one of the Spain's best white grapes.
Arnold Holzer's Eschenhof Holzer Wagram Grüner Veltliner is a fruitier example of the grape from vineyards in organic conversion. Gorgeous and versatile, consistently one of our bestselling wines.
From France, and 8th-generation winemaker Cyril Laudet, Château Laballe Les Terres Basses Blanc is a gorgeous, richly flavoured Gascon blend of Colombard, Ugni Blanc & Gros Manseng that will blow you away. Love this wine!
Further south into Languedoc-Roussillon and Maison Ventenac Coup de Chance is a curiosity typical of Cabardès, marrying 'Atlantic' varieties with 'Mediterranean' varieties: Chenin Blanc & Colombard for the former and Gros Manseng for the latter.
Tocco Passerina comes from Enisio Tocco's family farm in Abruzzo and uses a widely planted but usually blended variety, which takes its name from the Italian for sparrow. Organically farmed, it's richly aromatic and multi-layered.
Over in Portugal, Quinta dos Espinhosos LIV Vinho Verde is a cut above your usual Vinho Verde. Dry yet still headily aromatic, a blend of local Arinto & Avesso grapes, it's a summer holiday in a glass.
