Loire Valley

The "Garden of France" is famous for its riverside châteaux, and it is the long Loire river that makes the wine region so interesting. The terroir is remarkably different for Muscadet on the Atlantic coast in the west, compared to Cabernet Franc and Chenin Blanc in the middle, towards Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir in the likes of Sancerre in the east. There is so much interesting wine to explore in this relatively cool-climate region.
