Cabernet Sauvignon
Cabernet Sauvignon comes from France and was born from the natural crossing of Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc. It is most closely associated with the red wines of Bordeaux, where it plays the leading role on the Left Bank of the Gironde estuary. But of course it's now grown absolutely everywhere, and along with the likes of Merlot, Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc it is one of the pre-eminent international grape varieties.
